A native Texan, Chris lived in Tyler–with brief stints in Dallas and Houston–before arriving in 2008 to study at Texas A&M, and settling locally afterward. He and wife Leisha have a bouncy baby daughter, Landry, and share their home with their dog, Scout. In his free time, Chris can often be found working on the latest project around the house.
After first getting involved in the band at Brazos Fellowship, Chris, along with Leisha, began leading a Brazos Fellowship small group for college students. The group quickly outgrew their living room and evolved into the college ministry, now named Two42.
Chris thrives on watching people get connected in community, and seeing positive change happen in their lives. This love for community was inspired by his college pastor, who poured into him, believed in him, and modeled a commitment that went beyond simply tending a member of her ministry. He credits her with this spiritual wisdom:
“We are all in this together. We are designed for community. If we will be intentional about leaning into each other both through the highs and the lows, we will always see God move on our behalf.”
