Our driving mission is to CONNECT students to authentic community, COMPEL them to grow in their relationship with Christ, and ENGAGE them in the mission of the gospel. We strive to accomplish through a variety of environments. Our Community Groups and SERVE Teams are the heart of Two42. We are excited you are prayerfully considering applying to help lead through one of these areas.

As you pray about this process, we want to help paint a picture of what you are saying yes to. Ultimately, you are NOT saying yes to leading a Bible study. You are NOT saying yes to always having the right answer or being the smartest person in the room. You are NOT saying yes to signing your life away. You ARE saying yes to creating a space for authentic community to happen. You ARE saying yes to being real and honest. You ARE saying yes to an incredible adventure. Don’t just take our word for it. If you would have asked me maybe three years ago, that I would be leading a CG. I would have said you’d be nuts. I’ve been apart of this ministry for several years now and have gotten to watch from the outside, watching the leadership team work. And after going back and forth on it and several conversations, I decided to apply for leadership team.

This was one of the best decisions I’ve made during my college years. Getting to take that step further in this ministry and serve others in how I had been served has been so so fulfilling. I joined Two42 as a freshman, and completely fell in love with how genuine and welcoming everyone was. Freshman year is such a hard time, trust me, I know from experience! Being given the opportunity to lead the Freshman team has been truly one of the best experiences ever. Being able to pour into and walk with each of them has made me grow in my own leadership skills and relationship with the Lord so much. I have seen so many students walking through all the hard things that accompany your first year of college, but I’ve also seen the fruits of having a whole team of friends behind you who have been through it and want nothing more than to help and encourage you!

My favorite part about my role is being able to plan events purely to bring freshmen together. To welcome them into a ministry that wants to love them well, and to give them an opportunity to feel a sense of belonging as soon as they walk through the doors for the first time. Leading this team truly is a blessing from the Lord. If you feel even the smallest whisper of a calling from God to apply, I urge you to do it!
